SELECTED BATHROOM WORKS
TIM ARTZ SOLO SHOW

@The Left Bathroom of that Bar Motor City
Recently artist Timothy Walkiewicz aka Tim Artz created an
installation in the left bathroom at that bar Motor City that’s on Ludlow .
The work was a reactionary piece inspired by the close proximity
of nouveau-hippy-lite, indie rock, music band that was having a heavy,
post-rock practice, drinking session at the bar.
Over the course of three drinks,Mr Artz, using just one brown krink marker,
transformed the bathroom from “rock N roll bathroom”, to an
“inspirational self-awareness experience chamber.”
When one steps into the installation they are immediately taken aback by
negative messages of positivity. “Your friends hate you” “your band sux”
and “kill yourself if you have a beard” are just some of the powerful slogans
applied to the walls.
The site specific installation is best viewed properly while drunk, on pills,
and smoking a one hitter and possibly doing a bump.

Timothy Walkiewicz ia an artist that lives and works in Lower Manhattan.
He has exhibited in New York and Philadelphia as well as some other
bathrooms. He also is a member of international, avant-garde, recording
artists Bum Rush.
